Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
3+ years of full-stack development experience, including strong proficiency in:
Liquid / Shopify theme development
JavaScript, HTML5, CSS3
Node.js or other backend environments
Experience with the Shopify ecosystem, including themes, apps, APIs, webhooks, and checkout customization.
Familiarity with Git and modern frontend build tools.
Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to deliver high-quality code.
Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams across design, product, and marketing.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience with Shopify Plus, headless commerce, Hydrogen/Remix, or similar architectures.
Hands-on experience with site performance optimization, SEO, and mobile-first development.
Understanding of CRO, A/B testing, analytics integration, and conversion funnels.
Experience integrating third-party services: Meta Pixel, Google Tag Manager, Klaviyo, payment/shipping APIs, etc.
Familiarity with cloud deployment platforms such as Vercel, Netlify, AWS, or Cloudflare.
Ability to turn ambiguous requirements into intuitive user experiences and scalable systems.
About the Role
As a Full Stack Engineer at Stella Metrix, you will be responsible for building and maintaining high-performance Shopify-based commerce experiences. You will take ownership of our DTC storefronts end-to-end, ensuring reliability, speed, and continuous optimization. You will work closely with product, design, and growth teams to ship user-centric features, support global expansion, and improve overall conversion performance.
Responsibilities
Architect, develop, and maintain Shopify stores using Liquid, JavaScript, and modern frontend frameworks.
Build custom themes, templates, and reusable components optimized for speed and conversion.
Implement backend logic to support product management, workflow automation, and third-party integrations.
Integrate tools across payments, logistics, CRM, analytics, and marketing channels.
Improve site performance, SEO, accessibility, and mobile responsiveness.
Launch new pages, landing experiences, and A/B experiments with design and growth teams.
Ensure stability, security, and maintainability across the full commerce stack.
Troubleshoot and resolve production issues with ownership and urgency.
